Puppet painting is where miniature craftsmanship meets character storytelling. Across feature films, shorts, and series, I’ve specialized in creating camera-ready finishes for stop-motion characters—bringing depth, texture, and personality to every surface.

My work spans painting faces, costumes, and silicone elements, as well as mixing pigments for exact on-screen color matches. Through layered techniques—acrylic washes, pastel shading, and fine detail work—I transform raw fabrication into expressive, production-ready puppets."*

Selected Projects

The Tiny Chef Show S2Nickelodeon / Shadowmachine
Worked on multiple episodes, contributing to the painting and finishing of characters and small-scale props. Notable work includes a mother ladybug and a family of baby ladybugs, all painted identically except for one distinctive yellow baby to add visual interest. I also custom-painted sunglasses for specific characters and prepared small replacement parts to maintain texture, color, and finish continuity across the rest of the cast.

Wendell & WildNetflix Original Feature Film
As second to the lead painter in the puppet paint department, I contributed to nearly every principal and supporting character in the film. My work included painting faces, costumes, and silicone elements; mixing pigments for exact color matches; and using acrylics, pastels, and colored pencils to add depth and texture. The gallery below features a selection of the characters I worked on.

Missing LinkLAIKA Feature Film
Worked in the Academy Award–winning Rapid Prototype department, specializing in quality assurance for 3D-printed facial animation. Prepared and finished printed faces by water blasting wax, chemically cleaning residue, magnetizing, sanding, and applying multiple coats of clear and matte finishes. The scenes shown feature faces I personally prepared for animation.
