Stop-motion puppets are where craftsmanship and storytelling meet. These puppets were fully designed, sculpted, and built by me—from internal armature to final paint and finishing. I handle the entire process: sculpting, fabrication, sewing, pigment mixing, painting, and surface detailing, ensuring each character comes to life with color, texture, and personality.
Project Highlights
Mrs. Brisby and Brutus – Hand-built stop-motion puppets inspired by The Secret of NIMH, created for an upcoming short film (unreleased).
Annie the Gremlin – Commissioned by director Justin Rasch for his short fan film Midnight Snack.
The Christmas Visitor Dolls – Created for The Christmas Visitor, a Rankin/Bass–inspired film by Hasani Walker.
Each puppet was crafted independently using traditional stop-motion techniques and mixed media. Materials include armature wire, Polly Plastic, polyfill, vacuform, cardboard, wool felt, Sculpey, foam, acrylic paint, pastel powder, Copic markers, fabric, sewing thread, and layered foam for structure and detail.
